Join us on National Poetry Day for a talk by poet and BBC Radio producer Emma Harding.

Discover how the particular qualities offered by radio – intimacy, rhythm, polyvocalism, sound and silence – have in influenced the work of poets, and how poets have used the medium to explore the musical possibilities of the spoken word.

Emma will feature clips of archive recordings, including W.H. Auden, Dylan Thomas, Philip Larkin, Louis MacNeice, Simon Armitage and other poets who are writing and broadcasting today.
