2017 is the bicentenary of Jane Austen’s death, and who better to provide a fitting tribute than soprano Rosie Lomas and pianist Katarzyna Kowalik from Literary Music?
Rosie Lomas and Katarzyna are young classically trained musicians who perform programmes inspired by the works of some of our best-loved authors. Combining music and song together with spirited readings by Rosie, Jane Austen’s Music explores music in Regency society and in Jane Austen’s life and novels. Emma Kirkby praised Literary Music for its combination of ‘lovely sounds, historical awareness and enthusiasm, giving fresh life to words and music’.
This will be a treat for lovers of music and Jane Austen.
