Piers Torday’s first book The Last Wild was an eco-thriller with a hero who can talk to animals. Published in 2013, it was an immediate success and was shortlisted for the Carnegie Award. He has since written two more novels to complete his trilogy about Kester, Polly, Aida and all the animal characters who saved Kester so that he could save them.
His fourth novel, There May Be A Castle, is now out in paperback. He has also adapted John Masefield’s The Box of Delights into a wonderful play, performed at Wilton’s Music Hall in London over the 2017/2018 Christmas season. An exciting new book The Lost Magician, set in 1945 and featuring four children who step through a mysterious library door into another world, will appear in time for his visit to Sevenoaks Primary School.
This free schools event will be held at Sevenoaks Primary School and pupils from the other primary schools in the town will be invited.
