We are delighted to welcome Sophie Hannah back to Sevenoaks as guest speaker at our annual literary lunch.

Sophie is an acclaimed writer of psychological crime fiction who won the Crime Thriller of the Year Award in 2013 and whose novels have been adapted for ITV.

In 2014, with the blessing of Agatha Christie’s family and estate, she published a new Hercule Poirot novel, The Monogram Murders, which was an international bestseller.

This year, to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the creation of Poirot in The Mysterious Affair at Styles, she publishes her second Poirot novel, Closed Casket, and she will be talking about her debt to and admiration of her great detective fiction predecessor.

Sophie is also a published poet and has been shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Award. She is a Fellow Commoner at Lucy Cavendish Collage, Cambridge.
