The poet Lemn Sissay’s life story is one of neglect and determination, misfortune and hope, cruelty and triumph. Lemn Sissay was the official poet of the London Olympics in 2012. He was awarded an MBE in 2010 for services to literature and the PEN Pinter prize in 2019. He was a sensation when he visited the Festival in 2016 – be prepared to be moved and inspired.
